At the busy city of Chennai, Vetri is from a poor family. He is a graduate in electrical engineering but does not wish to take up a regular job, believing that it will not help him make big money in a short time. He becomes a target of powerful people, including the newly appointed city police commissioner DC Sathyaseelan and the local loan shark Samuthiram, when his plans go terribly wrong.
