Phool Pishi O Edward began on the day of Zamindar Manindra Chandra Nandy's wedding celebrations. But the celebrations ceased when Manindra died under suspicious circumstances. His sudden death initiated a murder investigation. As the investigation proceeded, several members of the household emerged as possible suspects.
The suspects included Manindra's estranged wife Aditi, his fiancée Binita, his brother Jogendra, his son Somoy, his illegitimate son Raja, and his mother Hasi Debi.
